    Description

    Twin Cities Pride Tabling Captain

Are you passionate about advancing & protecting sexual and reproductive health care for all? Do you enjoy connecting with others? Join us as a Community Event Tabling Captain this summer!

Help represent Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) and raise awareness of our services and programing at various neighborhood and community tabling events/festivals.

Volunteers will take a lead in managing the PPNCS Table/booth at community events such as Pride and other community festivals in order to ensure a smooth running of the event booth. This role includes understanding and becoming familiar with the booth contents (bins with materials, brochures, swag, etc.) and activities. Tabling Captains will also take the lead in managing up to 4 other volunteers at the booth, ensuring that all activities are covered, volunteers are present and understand the task assigned to them. Tabling Captains will not be expected to be an expert on Sex Ed, Reproductive options, or other specific subject matter topics. Instead, Tabling Captains will help triage requests to the appropriate brochure or contact for appropriate follow-up. Tabling Captains will help with any problem-solving needs if they occur.

    Skills needed:

    • Interest and ability to interact with general public in a high sensory environment
    • Engage with and lead volunteers to ensure booth activity coverage, volunteer involvement, and volunteer comfort with role
    • Ability to problem-solve any issues as they arise
    • Ability to stand and walk across uneven ground

    Volunteer Shifts include:

    • Saturday June 27th 2pm to 7:30pm
    • Sunday June 28th 9am to 1:30pm
    • Sunday June 28th, 1:30pm to 6:30pm

To get started, complete our online Volunteer Interest Form and sign-up for an upcoming General Volunteer Orientation!
