Description
New Vision Community Outreach Association (NVCOA) is seeking a volunteer Grant Writer to help advance our mission to reduce food insecurity and strengthen community wellbeing through financial literacy and mental health wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research grant opportunities aligned with NVCOA programs
- Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and attachments
- Coordinate with NVCOA leadership to gather program narratives, budgets, and outcomes
- Maintain a simple grants tracker (deadlines, submissions, awards, reporting dates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or persuasive writing
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly
- Ability to recruit a fundraising team
- Familiarity with Google Docs/Drive or Microsoft Word/Excel
Time Commitment
- Flexible: approximately 3–6 hours per week (more during deadlines)
