VNA Hospice wants volunteers with heart!
VNA Hospice Patient Volunteers bring comfort and support to patients and their families through once-weekly visits. Hospice Volunteers provide companionship to patients and respite to caregivers- creating a peaceful environment at end of life. Patients enjoy socializing, playing cards, going for walks and much more with their volunteers.
Hospice Volunteers make visits to homes, nursing homes, hospitals and the VNA Hospice House- wherever the patient calls home. Visits are 1-3 hours once to twice weekly.
Training, criminal history checks and other screenings are required.
