    Description

    Do you want to volunteer and get some exercise at the same time? If so, the Minneapolis VA is seeking Volunteers in our Escort Department to physically escort Veterans to and from their various appointments throughout the medical center.

    This fast-paced opportunity will require Volunteers whom are energetic, patient-centered, flexible, have excellent verbal communication skills and have the physical ability to push a wheelchair and/or litter.

    Current openings for Escort Volunteers are:

    Monday through Friday afternoons, specifically 7:30am - 12:00pm and 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

    • 2:00pm is a high Veteran appointment time and need people who can stay until 4:00pm and assist Veterans after those appointments.
