Be there when it matters most
We're looking for caring individuals who want to bring comfort and companionship to people nearing the end of life.
As a hospice volunteer you can visit patients, read them a book, or help with light tasks - bringing comfort in simple yet meaningful ways.
No experience required - just kindness and a willingness to help.
Join us and be a part of something meaningful.
Possible Duties:
- Patient companionship
- Respite relief for patient caregiver
- Shopping/errands
- BINGO
- Listening to Music
- Walking a patient’s dog
- Reading to patients
- Mailing/making cards
- Bereavement telephone calls
- Bereavement support group assistance
- We Honor Veterans
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Background Check
- Drug Test
- Successful completion of the hospice’s volunteer orientation
- Desire to be of service to others
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
We train all types of volunteers depending on how you are wanting to share your time. You choose how much time to provide and when.
