    Description

KC Rakes is a volunteer-driven neighborhood cleanup initiative dedicated to helping older adults maintain safe, accessible, and dignified homes. We believe that just because an older adult can't clean their own sidewalks and driveways, they shouldn't be forced to leave their home.

Teams of 5-8 will rake leaves at a KC senior's home for 2-4 hours. You can sign up with family or friends as a team, or join an existing team. You can also choose your date and area of town:

    Saturday, November 1st (Central KC)

    Friday, November 14th (South KC)

    Saturday, November 15th (South KC)

    Location

    On-site

    KC Shepherd's Center

9200 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64114, USA
    Directions

You'll pick up rakes and yard waste bags (plus coffee and donuts) at 9200 Ward Parkway, then go to your assigned house.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

Sign up here! All ages welcome (teams with young kids will be assigned homes on quiet streets), no experience needed.
