    Description

    Deliver Food for the Food Bank

    The YWCA Central Area Food Bank provides food to over 300 families each week. This service takes a great deal of volunteer support, therefore our food bank is always in need of ongoing, regular volunteers to help meet the need.

    Delivery Drivers help by delivering bags of food to certain locations throughout our service area. Both regular and substitutes drivers are needed. Each delivery route has about 9 clients, within a neighborhood in Central or South Seattle. We are currently looking for a regular driver for Beacon Hill and substitute drivers. Delivery shifts take around an hour to complete from start to finish and begin at our East Cherry location. Routes have different start times that run between 11:30 and 1:30. Volunteers will be emailed weekly with the delivery schedule.

    This is an impactful opportunity to volunteer as families that use our services do not have easy access to food. Please note you must be able to lift 20lb grocery bags comfortably, have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
