    TRAVERSE CITY, MI- Volunteer Hospice

    Volunteering with Advisacare Hospice is very rewarding. You have the opportunity to make an incredibly positive impact on our patients and families. Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice Team. There are many ways to volunteer including having direct contact with the patient, special programs (Veterans Volunteer, sewing care pillows) and administrative work.

    Possible Ways to Volunteer

    • Patient companionship
    • Caregiver relief
    • Veteran Volunteers
    • Play music with guitar to patients or perform for patients
    • Pet Therapy - if you have a licensed pet therapy dog to visit with patients
    • Do birthday card and flower deliveries to patients
    • Record a patient's life story
    • Administrative work in office
    • Many other opportunities

    Requirements to become a Volunteer

    • On-Line Volunteer Orientation and Training
    • Criminal Background Check (Fingerprints)
    • TB/Drug Tests
