    Description

    Homework Club Teen Volunteer

    Homework Club is looking for compassionate volunteers to assist elementary students build academic and socio-emotional skills.

    • What you’ll do: You will support staff in assisting 2nd to 5th grade students complete their homework, arts and crafts, and outdoor exercise.

    Duties (may include):

    After attending the volunteer orientation, the following is expected

    • Support students in completing their homework and arts & crafts
    • Monitor outdoor activities
    • Pass out materials and decorate the room
    • Review and reinforce learning frequently – praise often
    • Check in with the classroom lead regularly concerning learner progress

    We ensure all our volunteers are well-prepared for success:

    • Training: You will receive guidance and support from adult staff to free, comprehensive training in instruction and effective strategies for working with elementary school students.
    • Requirements: Volunteers must be 14 or older and attend a one-time orientation.
