    Description

    Volunteer position. Time commitment: 5-7 hours per week.

    The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating graphics for marketing and education to be disseminated via IAABC Foundation social media accounts and other organizational platforms.

    Responsibilities

    • Familiarizing with all IAABC Foundation offerings which includes but is not limited to courses, events, the Journal and other projects
    • Creating graphics with a marketing and social media eye, based on the relevant organizational guidelines, with an understanding of animal behavior and evidence-based practices
    • Preparing graphics in formats suited for each IAABC Foundation channel and post type or other organizational platform
    • Adhering to operational workflows and the communication / marketing strategy
    • Adhering to the organizational social media guidelines
    • Maintaining the brand voice and brand integrity across all platforms
    • Contributing to the planning and messaging of organization initiatives
    • Working with the team to respond to social media emergencies
    • Maintaining a consistent presence by participating in team meetups and ongoing communication in team Slack channels as needed

    Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing best practices and trends
    • Knowledge of best practices in inclusive and accessible communications operations
    • Strong graphics editing skills using Canva or equivalent
    • Technological skills including familiarity with Google Workspace applications
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
    • Organizational skills
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a positive and encouraging manner
    • Ability to work effectively in a remote, diverse, international team environment
    • Team communication using Slack
    • Availability to volunteer 5-7 hours per week
