Volunteer Hospice Companions Needed
Some journeys shouldn’t be walked alone.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are willing to commit their time, heart, and presence to hospice patients—not just as visitors, but as companions, friends, and extended family during one of life’s most meaningful chapters.
What This Role Is About
Hospice volunteering is not about medical care.
It’s about human connection.
As a volunteer companion, you may:
Sit and talk, or simply sit in silence
Listen to stories, memories, or concerns
Read aloud, play music, or watch a favorite show
Offer comfort, reassurance, and presence
Become a familiar, caring face someone looks forward to seeing
Often, your presence is the gift.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking volunteers who are:
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally present
Willing to form genuine connections
Comfortable offering companionship to those at end of life
Reliable and committed to regular visits
Open to being a steady source of kindness and friendship
No prior hospice experience is required—training and support are provided.
Why Volunteer?
Make a profound difference in someone’s final days
Provide comfort to patients who may feel isolated or alone
Gain perspective, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for life
Be part of a caring, supportive hospice team
Experience meaningful, heart-centered service
Your Time Matters
Even a few hours a month can bring comfort, dignity, and peace to someone who needs it most.
