    Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 131-year-old settlement house widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a variety of effective and integrated services--social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness.

We are seeking friendly volunteers with good interpersonal skills to staff our Older Adult Center at East 54th in Manhattan on Thursdays, 9:30am-12:30pm. Volunteers will provide visitors with important information about daily center activities, check members in for meals and facilitate new members joining the center.
