    Description

    Community Outreach Volunteer

Ahimsa House is Georgia's only organization focusing on the links between animal abuse and domestic violence. We help people and their pets across Georgia escape domestic violence through providing temporary emergency shelter and veterinary care for pets while their owners stay at domestic violence shelters, where pets are usually not allowed.

Because we serve the whole state of Georgia, outreach is a very important component of our work--so that we make sure anyone who may need our help knows about our organization. We are looking for dynamic, outgoing volunteers to help us staff our information booth at community festivals and pet festivals around the state.
