    FAQ

Who can participate in the “Square Meal Circle?”

Anyone! School groups, youth groups, corporate groups, faith-based organizations, community groups…… we just ask that all groups follow our simple guidelines.

How do we know what to cook?

Give us a call and we can arrange whatever works for you. We can let you know what might be on the menu for a particular week to help coordinate. Have a favorite recipe? Great! Just let us know what you will do. Don’t know what to do? No problem – we have lots of recipes we will share.

Where do we cook the meals?

You are welcome to cook in our kitchen. We have a large, professional-grade kitchen, complete with pot, pans and other needed equipment. But if you are comfortable preparing something in your own home and bringing it over, that is fine too.

Do we have to buy our own ingredients?

That is completely up to you. You can use items in our pantry and refrigerator or yours. When you call us, we can discuss whether we have or can budget for items you need for a particular meal. If that doesn’t work out for some reason, then we will work with you to find a meal that does. We aren’t picky! Just budget conscious. We just ask that you supply every meal’s essential ingredient: love.

If I donate the ingredients, can I get a tax receipt?

You bet ’cha! We are a 501, c-3 organization. We are happy to provide you with a tax letter for the meal.

    Can a group cook together?

Oh yeah! Granted, our kitchen won’t hold 20 people, but a small group or family is great.

I am an individual – can I still cook?

Sure thing! When we don’t have volunteers, we cook and we would love to have a friend talk to & to lighten the task!

    What time is dinner anyway?

Dinner is at 6pm every night. Our program dictates that we serve dinner at this time only.
