    Teach & Transform: Education Volunteering in Wattala, Sri Lanka

    Teach English in Sri Lankan schools and community centers, helping students of all ages improve their language skills and future opportunities. Work mornings only (8-11am, 4 days weekly) with 3 days off to explore beaches, temples, and tea plantations. No teaching experience needed, jus enthusiasm and patience. Live with local families, enjoy home-cooked meals, and experience authentic culture.

    Make a meaningful impact by volunteering as a teacher in vibrant Sri Lankan communities. This program connects passionate volunteers with local schools and community centers where English education opens doors to better opportunities for students of all ages.

    What You'll Do

    Teach English to children, teenagers, or adults in classrooms, community centers, or informal learning spaces. You'll help students develop conversational skills, improve grammar and vocabulary, support literacy development, and build confidence in using English. Lessons are interactive and fun think games, songs, storytelling, and creative activities rather than rigid textbooks. You'll also assist local teachers, prepare lesson materials, and may help with other subjects like math, computer skills, or arts and crafts.

    No Experience Required

    You don't need teaching qualifications. just enthusiasm, patience, and creativity. We provide orientation, teaching resources, and ongoing support from experienced coordinators who help you plan engaging lessons and navigate classroom dynamics.

    Your students

    Work with eager learners from rural villages or small towns who are excited to practice English with native or fluent speakers. Class sizes vary, and students range from curious young children to motivated adults seeking better job prospects.

    Schedule & Lifestyle

    Work 4 days weekly, mornings only (8-11am, 12 hours total), leaving 3 days free for exploring Sri Lanka's stunning beaches, ancient temples, lush tea plantations, and wildlife reserves. Enjoy home-cooked Sri Lankan meals with your host family and weekly city tours to experience local culture.
