    Description

Your Voice Has Power. Use it to End Poverty.

Poverty Isn’t Inevitable. Together, We Can Change It.

At RESULTS, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to thrive. But that future won’t build itself. It takes everyday people speaking up and working together to make sure our leaders choose policies that reduce poverty and expand opportunity.

RESULTS is a nonpartisan movement of advocates who influence Congress and build the political will to end poverty. For more than 45 years, our volunteers have helped shape policies that improve health, nutrition, education, and economic opportunity in the U.S. and around the world.

If you want to make a meaningful difference, you belong in the RESULTS community of advocates.

    What You’ll Advocate For

As a RESULTS advocate, you’ll use your voice to support policies that strengthen communities, including:

    • Protecting health and nutrition programs like SNAP and Medicaid
    • Improving tax policies that support families with low incomes, including the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit
    • Strengthening U.S. support for global health and education, including child nutrition, vaccines, maternal and child health, education access, and the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria

    No Experience Required

You don’t need prior advocacy experience to get started. We provide training, support, and a community of advocates who will help you learn how to influence decision-makers and take meaningful action.

    Start Your Advocacy Journey

Our New Advocate Training & Action Program will help you build the skills and confidence to advocate for solutions to poverty.

    • Step 1 – New Advocate Orientation
      • Attend a one-hour orientation to learn who we are, what we advocate for, and how everyday people influence policy.
    • Step 2 – Self-Paced Advocacy Training
      • Complete a short training series where you’ll learn to communicate with Congress, write powerful media, and invite others in your community to take action.
    • Step 3 – Join a RESULTS Group
      • After completing the training, you’ll be introduced to a local RESULTS group and continue advocating alongside others in your community.
