Description
We are seeking a Business Development & Strategic Sponsorships Lead to help build the financial and strategic foundation of our platform. This role focuses on developing and executing partnership and sponsorship strategies that support long-term sustainability while aligning with our humanitarian mission and community-first values. This is a volunteer (unpaid) role.
The ideal candidate brings experience navigating corporate, foundation, and ecosystem partnerships and understands how to translate our mission into compelling value for sponsors and collaborators.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic partnerships and sponsorship roadmap, including timelines and priority targets
- Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate and season sponsors, advertising partnerships, grants, and other funding sources
- Build relationships with mission-aligned corporations, foundations, and funding partners in the social impact space
- Support the development of sponsorship packages, partner value propositions, and impact-aligned deliverables
- Explore and pursue ecosystem partnerships with major technology platforms and companies (e.g., Meta, Amazon, Microsoft) and seek inclusion in relevant social impact initiatives and programs
- Collaborate closely with Community, Serve Us leadership to align revenue strategy with platform values, content, and community priorities
- Track partnership progress and provide regular updates on pipeline development and milestones
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, or fundraising within social impact, media, technology, or adjacent fields
- Strong existing relationships with corporate, foundation, or ecosystem partners preferred
- Proven ability to develop partnership strategies and move relationships from introduction to commitment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strategic thinker with a collaborative, mission-driven approach
- Comfort working in an early-stage, fast-evolving environment
