Due to the length of training, we recommend a year commitment. Most of our volunteers visits their patient 1 time a week or 2 times a month depending on their schedule.

Description
Bristol Hospice Bangor is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join our volunteer team. Our volunteers provide companionship and support to patients and families during their hospice journey.
What You'll Do:
- Offer companionship through friendly visits, reading, sharing stories, or simply being present
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Provide caregiver relief support for families/primary caregivers
- Engage in light activities such as playing music, doing puzzles, or writing letters
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Have a heart for service and compassion for those at end of life
- Reliability and commitment to visit patients regularly (schedule is flexible)
- Completion of hospice volunteer training
- Completion of background check and TB test (arranged by Bristol Hospice)
