    About Caregiver OneCall

    Caregiver OneCall is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no caregiver feels alone at 2 AM. Through our free 24/7 support hotline, education, resources, and community partnerships, we provide real-time support to family caregivers caring for aging parents, spouses, children with disabilities, and loved ones with chronic or complex health conditions.

    As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Treasurer to join our Board of Directors and help strengthen our financial oversight and long-term sustainability.

    Position Summary

    The Treasurer serves as an officer of the Board of Directors and provides financial oversight, guidance, and accountability for the organization. This individual works closely with the Founder & Board Chair, Executive Director, and fellow board members to ensure sound financial practices, transparency, and compliance.

    This is an ideal opportunity for a finance, accounting, banking, investment, nonprofit, or business professional who wants to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact in the lives of caregivers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and monitor the organization’s financial health and sustainability
    • Present financial reports and updates during board meetings
    • Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning
    • Help ensure appropriate financial controls and policies are in place
    • Review financial statements, cash flow, and organizational performance
    • Support grant readiness and financial reporting requirements
    • Participate in strategic planning and board governance activities
    • Serve as Chair of the Finance Committee (when established)
    • Assist with identifying funding opportunities and financial sustainability strategies
    • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial reporting requirements

    Qualifications

    • Experience in accounting, finance, banking, financial planning, auditing, business operations, or nonprofit financial management
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and budgets
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
    • Commitment to ethical leadership and fiduciary responsibility
    • Passion for supporting caregivers and strengthening communities
    • Prior nonprofit board experience is helpful but not required

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 12-15 hours per month
    • Monthly virtual board meetings (first Thursday of each month)
    • Committee participation as needed
    • Occasional strategic planning and fundraising activities

    Location

    Remote. Candidates based in Bay Area and with knowledge of California nonprofit operations are preferred.
