    This is a hardworking board comprised of people passionate about AWE's mission. They serve as a team in support of AWE's professional staff.

    Description

    Art With Elders (AWE) uses the power of art, creativity, and community to enrich the journey of aging. Art With Elders engages older adults in senior residential communities, senior centers, and living independently in weekly fine art classes with a view to exhibiting their work. We serve about 450 seniors in 40 venues in across eight counties annually.

    We are seeking hard-working, committed board members who can help us raise our profile in the Bay Area's corporate and foundation world.

    Responsibilities include:

    Making an annual financial contribution; attending meetings and events; serving as an ambassador for the organization with contacts in the corporate, foundation, local government, social service and media.

    Meetings are both remote and in person, based on the current Bay Area Covid safety protocols.
