Description
The Los Angeles Public Library offers online reading, writing, and English conversation classes using zoom. Our classes bring in learners from diverse communities around the world!
Reading is a part of our everyday life - from cooking, to driving, to applying for a job. Help someone enrich their life by supporting a class of adult learners on their journey towards literacy.
Your role as a Teacher Assistant:
- Managing Zoom controls (opening and closing a class, admitting learners from the waiting room, locking class, sharing the screen, creating break-out rooms, monitoring learners and chat, etc.)
- Collecting learner information (email addresses, attendance, suggestions)
- Emailing classwork and homework assignments (if needed)
- Reading through the lesson plan and being prepared to help
- Proficient in basic email and computer skills. Familiarity with Zoom is recommended, but we also offer training
This class will be held on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.
