    Description

    The YogAbility Institute is a nonprofit corporation since 1999, dedicated to providing an alternative form of exercise to those who cannot participate in conventional fitness activities.

    Executive Director Bea Ammidown, a licensed Yoga therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher (E RYT500) instructs Yoga to aid rehabilitation from injury, surgery, and illness, and as therapy for chronic pain and various disabilities from children to seniors. Currently, working on releasing our first YogAbility Institute DVD that presents yoga for the physically challenged and caregivers.

    YogAbility Institute is seeking an intern or volunteer to assist in the everyday administration work, fundraising and marketing. Web site upgrading expeience welcome.

    Qualifications and Primary duties: Candidate should have expertise in all Mac related software as in MacBook Pro, iPhoto. iTunes. Assist with administrative work including helping with data entry, filing, mailing, prepare promotional and development materials, assist in marketing and other tasks as needed. Must know MAC proficiently.

    Location: Santa Monica home/studio office.

    Hours/Availability: Part-time – best would be 2-3 half days or at least 2-3 hours per week. Position is available on an ongoing basis.

    Salary: Unpaid. Yoga therapy classes offered in exchange.
