    Social Media & Design Volunteer Needed for the Sea Coast Symphony

    🎨 Social Media & Graphic Design Volunteer

    Location: Remote with occasional South Orange County event opportunities

    Commitment: Flexible, approximately 2–5 hours per week

    Type: Ongoing Volunteer Position

    Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) & Chief Development Officer (CDO)

    About Sea Coast Symphony

    Sea Coast Symphony is a semi-professional orchestra serving South Orange County and the surrounding communities. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit arts organization, we are committed to enriching lives through exceptional live music performances, educational initiatives, and community engagement.

    Position Overview

    Sea Coast Symphony is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media & Graphic Design Volunteer to help elevate our visual presence and audience engagement. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio, gain nonprofit arts marketing experience, or use their creative talents to support a vibrant cultural organization.

    Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Development Officer, the volunteer will assist in creating compelling digital and print marketing materials that promote concerts, special events, fundraising initiatives, and community programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design concert posters, flyers, postcards and promotional materials
    • Create graphics and content for Facebook, Instagram and other Meta platforms
    • Assist with social media scheduling and campaign execution
    • Develop visual assets for fundraising campaigns and donor communications
    • Create branded graphics for website, email and digital advertising use
    • Support audience engagement efforts through creative storytelling and visual content
    • Ensure consistency with Sea Coast Symphony's branding and messaging

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
    • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Facebook, and Instagram
    • Experience with Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms is a plus
    • Strong visual design skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and volunteers
