    Beacon Hospice volunteers play a truly special role in bringing comfort, compassion, and connection to patients and families facing terminal illness. No medical experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to share your time.

    Our volunteers create their own flexible schedule and typically give 2–4 hours per week, making this a perfect opportunity for students, retirees, working professionals, and anyone wanting to give back in a deeply meaningful way.

    • Compassionate companionship visits
    • Providing caregiver respite
    • Weekly support phone calls (“tuck-in” calls)
    • Veteran-to-Veteran visits & pinning ceremonies
    • Administrative office support
    • Creating handmade comfort items for patients
