    Description

Salmon Home Care is looking for caring, compassionate individuals to join our volunteer team. You will touch lives in extraordinary ways through this community service opportunity. We are looking for volunteers to visit hospice patients living in Central and Metrowest cities and towns and also in Nursing Facilities located in Medway, Northborough, Westborough, and Natick. Individuals of all ages and backgrounds are welcome, and no previous hospice or health care experience is needed. As a hospice volunteer, you’ll spend a couple of hours each week providing friendly companionship to one of our patients in their residence. Time spent reading a book, writing a letter, hand holding, relieving caregivers or sitting bedside during vigil visits enhances the quality of life of hospice patients. Your visit can touch the lives of others and offer a caregiver a much-needed break. Donations of flower arrangements, blankets, music, or other sensory items are also welcome.
