Connect with fellow Veterans through companionship, conversation, and shared stories. Sometimes a simple visit or cup of coffee means everything.

Volunteers set their own schedules and choose the patients they visit. Most visits are about one hour per week.

As a Veteran, you have a unique ability to connect with fellow Veterans in a way no one else can.

We are looking for Veteran Volunteers to provide companionship to hospice patients who have also served our country. Sometimes the most meaningful moments come from shared stories, quiet understanding, or simply sitting together.

What You’ll Do:

• Visit Veteran patients for companionship
• Share conversation, stories, and life experiences
• Sit together over coffee or quiet moments
• Help honor their service and ensure they are not alone

Why It Matters:

Veterans often feel most understood by other Veterans. Your presence can bring comfort, dignity, and connection during an important time in their life.

No medical experience required — just a willing heart and shared service.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Kansas background check (requires Social Security number)
• 2-step TB test
• If driving: valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Flexible Schedule:

You choose when and how often you visit — even one hour a week makes a difference.
