    Description

    Family and Community Program Volunteer

Allies for Every Child's Family and Community Team is recruiting volunteers who are compassionate about making an impact and serving local children and families in need.

    Why:

Allies for Every Child is a nonprofit based in Culver City. Allies exists to serve Los Angeles' most vulnerable children. We are child wellbeing experts, early learning educators, social workers, therapists, and child advocates who meet every child and every family where they are. We intervene to alleviate chaos, engender stability, treat trauma, and ultimately ensure that all children have a childhood. We do this by providing high-quality early education programs, family-strengthening interventions, foster care and adoption services, and integrated services.

The Family and Community Program specifically works directly with families and children to help strengthen relationships, foster more self-determination among families, and support them with urgent needs.

    What's Expected:

Volunteers will support the Family and Community team with various tasks. Support includes but is not limited to organizing materials and equipment for different events, administrative and clerical tasks, and potentially collaborating on future ideas.

    Where:

12120 Wagner St., Culver City, CA 90230

    When:

Mondays - Fridays. Ideal volunteers can support in the morning or early afternoon.

    Requirements:

Applicants must attend a volunteer orientation with the Volunteer Program coordinator, complete a Volunteer Intake Packet, and provide proof of immunizations. If you are over the age of 18, you will also need to participate in a live scan background check.

Volunteer Program Coordinator can sign off on community service hours. Staff and Volunteer Program Coordinator can be references or write letters of recommendation.
