The Volunteer Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for youth, staff, visitors, and community partners at CHIL, playing a critical role in shaping a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment. This position not only supports front desk operations and light administrative tasks, but also contributes to the day-to-day functionality of our broader program space. Volunteers help ensure that every individual who enters our doors feels respected, valued, and supported, while also stepping into operational support roles as needed.
In addition to reception responsibilities, volunteers may assist our kitchen team with essential tasks such as unloading food deliveries, organizing and stocking pantry items, maintaining cleanliness and order in food storage areas, and supporting meal service. This cross-functional support is key to maintaining efficiency and ensuring that our youth have consistent access to nutritious meals in a dignified setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are dependable, adaptable, and professional, and who are motivated to contribute meaningfully within a mission-driven organization. Volunteers in this role should be comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities, taking initiative, and working collaboratively to meet the evolving needs of both staff and the young people we serve.
Parking is available on the east side of the building.
