    Description

Bilingual Volunteers Needed to Help Educate and Counsel Seniors with Insurance Issues!

Retired professionals are needed to educate and counsel senior and disabled adults and their caregivers on health insurance issues and to provide assistance in accessing affordable prescription drugs. Volunteers will provide one-on-one counseling over the phone or in person. Volunteers can work from their home or from counseling sites and must agree to participate at educational presentations or community health fairs. Extensive training is required initially and on-going training is provided on a regular basis. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage and also receive meal allowances when on duty. Travel is generally in the areas of Hillsborough, Manatee, Highlands, Hardee or Polk Counties. A two year commitment is required. Persons holding a current insurance agent license cannot be considered.
