Homeless Remedies, Inc. is seeking a grant writer for our organization. Our mission is to help homeless individuals become self-sufficient and improve the quality of life for the underserved. And is able to work at least 12 hrs. weekly.

Description
Experience Preferred
The Grant Writer will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. Bachelor degree, 5+ years of experience with grant management and/or public sector funding ( NYS, City and Federal grant and experience.
- Study and understand the history, structure, objective, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
- Draft grant proposal and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
- Submit proposal to grant to leadership for approval
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals
- Maintain positive relationship with fund providers and other stakeholder
- Knowledge of methods and practices of grant & contract reporting.
