    Description

Ashby Village is a community network of older adults living in the cities of Berkeley, Kensington, Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Richmond and Oakland who want to remain independent, in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. Volunteers provide a variety of short term services to help this happen.

Although there are a variety of ways to help, one of the greatest needs to address isolation and loneliness is for companionship. There are short term and longer term opportunities. The amount of time spent volunteering may be small, but the impact is large. Contact us to learn more about short and long term connections.

Volunteer screening includes: application, references, background check, brief interview, and orientation. Must be 18+ to apply and 21+ to drive.
