What do you want to create with a skilled volunteer?

Creshendo is seeking a skilled consultant to help us design a clear, scalable structure for our research, publishing, and university partnership model.

We are a global, volunteer-led nonprofit working at the intersection of migration, storytelling, and economic mobility. Our research and analysis function brings together lived experience, narrative insight, and systems thinking to inform public discourse and partnerships. As this work grows, we need stronger systems to support consistency, quality, and scale.

Over a 8 week engagement, the volunteer will help us build:

• A structured publishing workflow from idea to publication

• A clear content strategy with defined thematic areas

• A contributor pipeline for internal and external writers

• A pilot model for university partnerships and student research cohorts

Key deliverables include:

• End-to-end publishing workflow document

• Editorial calendar template and system

• Contributor onboarding guide and writing templates

• Editorial guidelines for tone, structure, and quality

• University pilot program outline with timeline and structure

This is a short-term, capacity-building project focused on creating systems our team can use independently moving forward.

How will you set this project up for success?

You will work closely with our Research and Analysis team, as well as the Executive Director. We will provide:

• Current workflows and materials

• Examples of existing content and outputs

• Access to team leads and contributors for context

We are organized, collaborative, and ready to implement. We are looking for someone who can translate strategy into practical tools and help us move from ad hoc processes to a clear, repeatable system.

Creshendo’s mission is to support migrants and refugees in shaping their own futures. Our research function plays a key role in elevating lived experience, informing systems change, and building partnerships with institutions.

By helping us design a strong publishing and partnership model, you will enable us to amplify more voices, produce higher-quality insights, and build sustainable collaborations with universities and contributors.
