Role overview
Help recruit and support 20–25 performers for our Throwback Hits Lip-Sync Challenge, an online fundraiser where every vote supports KHI and OA101’s work.
What you’ll do
- Reach out to potential contestants (youth, adults, community leaders, local performers) by email, text, and social media.
- Answer basic questions about how the contest works and what’s expected.
- Remind contestants about deadlines for sign-up and video submissions.
- Encourage contestants to promote their performance and share voting links.
Ideal volunteer
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to new people.
- Organized enough to track who has signed up and who still needs a reminder.
- Enjoys encouraging others and building excitement.

Contestant Coordinator

Contestant Coordinator Assistant
Skills and responsibilities:
The Contestant Coordinator Assistant helps keep performers engaged by sending reminders, answering basic questions, checking on submission progress, and ensuring contestants have what they need to succeed. This role is best for someone who is friendly, proactive, responsive, and comfortable with simple spreadsheets and social sharing. A positive, supportive attitude is especially important because this person helps contestants stay motivated throughout the campaign.
