    • Reach out to potential contestants (youth, adults, community leaders, local performers) by email, text, and social media.
    • Answer basic questions about how the contest works and what’s expected.
    • Remind contestants about deadlines for sign-up and video submissions.
    • Encourage contestants to promote their performance and share voting links.

    Ideal volunteer

    • Organized enough to track who has signed up and who still needs a reminder.
    • Enjoys encouraging others and building excitement.

    What you gain

    • Experience in outreach and volunteer/participant coordination.
    • Networking with community members, artists, and leaders.
    • A reference/letter of recommendation upon successful completion.

This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, encouraging, and comfortable reaching out by email, text, phone, or social media. Strong people skills, organization, and the ability to track sign-ups, questions, and video submissions are important.
