    Description

    Cloud100 Board Member

    Board Member — Cloud100

    About Cloud100

Cloud100 is a youth-focused nonprofit supporting underserved young people as they transition into adulthood. Our work integrates workforce readiness, life skills, and trauma-informed support to help youth build clarity, confidence, and long-term economic mobility.

As we enter a new phase of growth, we are expanding our Board of Directors to include engaged leaders who can help strengthen sustainability, visibility, and funding capacity.

    Role Overview

Board Members serve as strategic partners to Cloud100’s leadership, providing governance, guidance, and active support—particularly in fundraising and relationship-building.

This is a working board role, not an honorary position.

    Key Responsibilities

    Board Members are expected to:

    • Provide strategic insight and governance oversight
    • Actively support fundraising through giving, getting, or opening doors
    • Leverage personal and professional networks to expand partnerships
    • Participate in board meetings and key organizational initiatives
    • Serve as ambassadors for Cloud100’s mission and values

    Fundraising Expectations

Each Board Member commits to at least one of the following annually:

    • Make a personally meaningful financial contribution
    • Help raise funds through campaigns, events, or sponsorships
    • Provide warm introductions to potential funders, partners, or donors

Transparency matters—we value honesty and follow-through over perfection.

    Ideal Backgrounds

We are especially interested in individuals with experience in:

    • Fundraising, development, or philanthropy
    • Corporate partnerships, CSR, or DEI initiatives
    • Workforce development, education, or technology
    • Finance, strategy, nonprofit leadership, or entrepreneurship

Lived experience, community leadership, and strong relational skills are highly valued.

    Time Commitment

    • Board term: 1–2 years
    • Meetings: Quarterly (virtual, with occasional in-person opportunities)
    • Additional engagement based on committee or fundraising involvement

    What Board Members Gain

    • Opportunity to shape a growing, mission-driven organization
    • Meaningful impact on youth outcomes and community equity
    • Collaborative, values-driven leadership environment
    • Visibility as a leader supporting innovative, ethical youth development
