Day Out With Thomas™ 2026 - Northwest Railway Museum
Details
Description
Day Out With Thomas returns to the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, WA this July, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this beloved family event to life!
This nationally recognized event welcomes thousands of guests each year for train rides, activities, photo opportunities, and a full day of railroad-themed fun featuring Thomas the Tank Engine. Volunteers play a huge role in creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for children and families visiting the Museum.
Grounds Crew volunteers may assist with:
- Activity stations and family-friendly games
- Crowd control and guest wayfinding
- Photo line management
- Entrance assistance, including ticketing and check-in support
No railroad experience is necessary — just a positive attitude, willingness to help, and comfort interacting with guests in a busy event environment. This is a great opportunity for students, community groups, families, railfans, and anyone interested in volunteering at one of the Pacific Northwest’s most unique heritage events.
Event Dates:
- July 10–12, 2026
- July 17–19, 2026
- July 24–26, 2026
Volunteer Shift Times:
- Grounds Crew: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- (Split shifts and partial-day volunteering are welcome!)
Whether you can help for one day or all three weekends, we would love to have you as part of the team helping create unforgettable summer memories for visiting families.
