Description
Overview
The Treasurer serves as the financial steward of the Solano Symphony Orchestra, providing leadership and oversight to ensure the organization’s fiscal health. Working closely with the bookkeeper, the Treasurer monitors financial processes for accuracy and transparency, reviews reports, and communicates key financial information to the Board of Directors. As a member of the Executive Board, the Treasurer helps guide budgeting, planning, and resource allocation in alignment with the orchestra’s mission and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and sound accounting practices.
- Review monthly and annual financial statements and present summaries to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process in partnership with the Executive Board and committee chairs.
- Advise the Board on financial planning, sustainability, and compliance.
- Serve as a liaison between financial operations and the Board, ensuring clarity and accountability in all fiscal matters.
