    Description

To become a Board Member of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Nevada, Trustees are expected to support The Nature Conservancy's mission in three principal ways:

    • Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving: Achieving TNC’s mission requires innovation from all parts of the organization and in all aspects of our work. Helping assess situations and develop innovative strategies to solve problems, seize opportunities and leverage our conservation reach are critical duties for all trustees.
    • Providing Access and Influence: Leadership in ensuring that TNC has sufficient public and private resources to achieve its mission is critical. Trustees help establish effective relationships with leading individuals and institutions in philanthropy, public policy, private enterprise, science, education and other sectors, promoting TNC’s mission, goals, methods and achievements in the process. Trustees in Nevada are required to provide a minimum of one connection per quarter.
    • Demonstrating Outstanding Personal Commitment: Trustees are expected to make TNC Nevada a top priority by providing generous financial support through a meaningful annual gift, time and energy to the organization, and through volunteer activities.
