    Description

    Assignment Context

    Are you passionate about agricultural sustainability and economic empowerment? Do you have monitoring and evaluation skills to share?

    As the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor with WUSC Caribbean in Roseau, Dominica, you will strengthen the project’s evidence base and documentation efforts while contributing to knowledge sharing and learning across project teams by supporting the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with data organization, analysis, and reporting tasks.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assist with data collation, cleaning, and organization from multiple project sources (survey data, focus groups, interviews, reports)
    • Support the triangulation of qualitative and quantitative findings to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets
    • Conduct background literature/document reviews to help contextualize findings
    • Assist in preparing data visualization tables, charts, and summaries (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar)
    • Support in drafting sections of qualitative reports and success stories
    • Support the outcome harvesting process by compiling raw outcome evidence, drafting summaries, and documenting validation notes
    • Assist in the preparation of data interpretation materials (e.g., slide decks, summary briefs) for team workshops
    • Maintain proper data management protocols (file organization, version control, formatting) for smooth reporting
    • Provide editorial and formatting support on donor reports to ensure clarity, flow, and coherence
    • Participate in pre-assignment training
    • Participate in at least 3 public engagement initiatives with Canadian audiences before, during, or within 6 months after the end of the assignment. Volunteers will be equipped with the tools, training, funds, and support to achieve these goals. Volunteers must also report on each of their public engagement activities through our Volunteer Information Portal. Virtual chats and individual check-ins can be booked with the Senior Public Engagement Officer throughout the course of their assignment and during the 6 months following its completion to seek guidance and support with their public engagement activities.
    • Canadian volunteers are required to do at least one activity that contributes to meeting a fundraising target of $1,500. The minimum requirement is met by each volunteer using our Volunteer Information Portal to report having sent one message to their network about their volunteer assignment that includes the link to the WUSC Shared Impact Fund webpage. This message also counts as one of their three required public engagement activities. Volunteers will be supported with the tools, training, and resources to achieve the fundraising goal.
    • Submit reports as required by the partner organization and by WUSC.

    Partner Description

    WUSC Caribbean is implementing a five-year project – the Sustainable Agriculture in the Caribbean (SAC) project, which will promote climate resilient agriculture for equitable economic growth to increase the economic prosperity of women and youth (female & male) in more sustainable agricultural markets in the Caribbean. The project builds on learning from the WUSC Caribbean’s Promotion of Regional Opportunities for Produce through Enterprises and Linkages (PROPEL) project and is a multi-country economic growth project, funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), being implemented in Dominica, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Suriname.
