Volunteer Opportunity: Softball League Chaplain / Prayer Leader (Non-Profit | Faith-Based Organization)
Position Title: Softball League Chaplain (Volunteer)
Commitment: Duration of the softball season May to August - as needed for prayer
Location: Brampton and Mississauga
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and approachable volunteer to serve as our Softball League Chaplain or Head Prayer Leader. This individual will help foster a spiritually grounded atmosphere by offering prayers, encouragement, and support to players and participants throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and/or close games with brief, inclusive prayers or reflections
- Be a positive and supportive presence at games and league events
- Offer encouragement and spiritual support to players and volunteers
- Help promote sportsmanship, respect, and community values
- Collaborate with league organizers to align with the organization’s mission
What We’re Looking For
- Strong personal faith and comfort leading group prayer
- Experience in ministry, pastoral care, or spiritual leadership (formal or informal) is an asset
- Warm, welcoming, and inclusive approach to people of varying backgrounds
- Reliable and able to attend games consistently throughout the season
- Passion for community-building and faith-based initiatives
