Back to School Event Volunteer

HOPEmatch is holding it's annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1st. Children from families who are going through a temporary challenge are provided with personalized backpacks, a fun event, and delicious lunch. We are also having a Car Show as part of the event. It is Hot Wheels and Barbie themed and we are looking for volunteers to support in the following areas:

• Event Set Up/Donation Drop Off (Fri, 7/31, 1-5pm) - Help decorate the space for the event and sort and organize donated back packs to get ready for our event the next day.
• Delivery Drivers - Use your own vehicle to deliver back packs to those families who lack transportation so that their children can still go back to school with dignity.
• Backpack Runners - Assigned to each family as they arrive, Backpack runners host the family as they go through the process to engage and make them feel welcome and cared for as they experience the event and help carry heavy backpacks to their cars.
• Barbie Game Operators - Host the indoor games for the kids and reward them with prizes we provide.
• Hair Cut Specialist - Volunteer your time to give free back to school haircuts
• Hot Wheels Game Operators - Host the outdoor games for the kids and reward them with prizes.
• Parking Attendant - Help park cars in the right places at the event (we are also having a car show at the same time)
• Food Server Help prepare cooked food and serve, making sure that all food is stocked for the people coming through the line.
• Picnic Area Host - Talk with families while they eat and help clean up and get tables ready for the next people.
• Event Photographer - Whether you are a professional or just enjoy taking photos as a hobby, we could use your help in capturing the event.
