Description
The afternoon volunteer will assist participants in the food bank. The volunteer may fill a variety of roles: greeting participants, explaining the shopping process, monitoring flow, providing product options from the freezer area, weighing carts as shoppers exit the food bank, taking in donations and/or stocking shelves.
- Minimum Age - 15 without adult, 12 with adult
- Ability and willingness to be physically active and able to do moderate to heavy lifting. Interest in service to people of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Patience, compassion and excellent customer service skills. Spanish language skills are an asset.
Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 11:30 – 2:30 pm and 2:15 – 5:00 pm. Thursday: 11:30 – 2:30 pm, 2:15 – 5:00 pm and 4:45 – 7:15 pm
