    Professional Ethics Director (Officer Position)

    Professional Ethics Director

    The Professional Ethics Director helps ensure the organization upholds the highest

    standards of integrity, accountability, and ethical practice. This board member provides

    guidance on ethical decision-making and supports a culture rooted in respect, fairness, and

    transparency.

    Responsibilities include developing and reviewing the organization’s code of ethics, advising

    on ethical concerns or dilemmas, and helping ensure that services, programs, and board

    actions align with established values and professional standards. The Director may also

    support training or discussions that promote ethical awareness across the organization.

    This role involves identifying potential ethical risks, offering thoughtful guidance in complex

    situations, and working collaboratively with leadership to maintain trust within the

    community. The Professional Ethics Director plays a key role in reinforcing a safe, inclusive,

    and respectful environment for all.

    Ideal candidates bring experience in ethics, human services, or leadership, along with strong

    judgment, integrity, and communication skills. This is a mission-driven role focused on

    guiding the organization with principled, values-based leadership.

    This role may oversee or collaborate with:

    Ethics or governance committees

    Program leaders and service providers

    Training or professional development coordinators

    Complaint review or conflict resolution processes

    Board leadership on ethical standards and accountability
