Build-Day Coordinator

The Build-Day Coordinator helps turn one-day volunteer energy into real progress on the ground. This role leads short-term volunteer groups, like corporate or community partners, through hands-on construction or planting projects that move the green space forward in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead one-day volunteer groups through assigned construction or planting projects
• Welcome volunteers and set the tone for the day
• Explain project goals, safety guidelines, and tasks clearly
• Break large groups into manageable teams and keep work moving
• Answer questions and provide hands-on guidance as needed
• Coordinate with staff or project leads to ensure work is completed as planned
• Help volunteers understand the impact of what they’re building or planting

Time Commitment

• Flexible, project-based role
• Primarily scheduled on designated volunteer days
• Time commitment varies by project (typically 3–6 hours per shift)
