The Build-Day Coordinator helps turn one-day volunteer energy into real progress on the ground. This role leads short-term volunteer groups, like corporate or community partners, through hands-on construction or planting projects that move the green space forward in a meaningful way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead one-day volunteer groups through assigned construction or planting projects
- Welcome volunteers and set the tone for the day
- Explain project goals, safety guidelines, and tasks clearly
- Break large groups into manageable teams and keep work moving
- Answer questions and provide hands-on guidance as needed
- Coordinate with staff or project leads to ensure work is completed as planned
- Help volunteers understand the impact of what they’re building or planting
