    Teen Ventures: A youth empowerment project by Empower And Help—a magazine created entirely by teens, for teens, that exemplifies selflessness, creativity, teamwork, dedication, and a judgment-free environment filled with limitless possibilities. Through guided collaboration, teens embark on a meaningful journey of communication and commitment.     Role Description

    Role Title: Team Director

    Location: Remote

    About the Role: Your responsibilities include attending the mandatory remote meeting every Sunday at 7:45 PM EST (30–45 minutes), hosting an additional weekly check-in meeting with your Team Leads, and spending time during the week managing tasks. As the direct point of contact for Team Members, you will be responsible for breaking down and delegating tasks, answering questions, and keeping your team on track to meet all deadlines. Please read through the information below carefully before selecting your position of interest.

    • Editorial Director: Manages the writers and editors, sets article deadlines, and reviews the final drafts before publishing.
    • Design Director: Manages the design team to ensure the magazine pages, cover, and branding look professional and consistent.
    • Social Media Director: Manages the marketing team, plans the posting schedule, and helps create strategies to get more online views.
    • Outreach Director: Manages fundraising projects, coordinates business sponsorships, and helps grow the program's network. Note: Because this role covers a lot of work, it is split into two positions with a focus on either fundraising/sponsorships or media relations/grant writing.

    Time Commitment:

    • 3 to 5 hours
    • September to Mid-January (Assistance with onboarding the next Team Director in January)

    Qualifications

    • Must be a currently enrolled college student (undergraduate or graduate) or a rising high school senior.
    • Availability to attend the mandatory weekly Sunday evening meetings at 7:45 PM EST.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required to manage remote teams and collaborate with organization leadership.
    • A self-motivated, empathetic, and process-oriented mindset.
    • Comfort working entirely in a remote, digital environment using collaboration tools.
    • A clear passion for youth empowerment, education, and community advocacy.

    Preferred Skills

    • Prior experience in student journalism, digital layout design (e.g., Canva, InDesign), social media management, or nonprofit fundraising is a major plus (dependent on position).
