    Description

    Weekly volunteer

Are you ready to immerse yourself in a hands-on and heartwarming experience that brings positive change to both horses and humans? Queens Lane Sanctuary invites you to join our team of volunteers for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of fulfilling responsibilities that directly contribute to the well-being of our horses and the connections between these magnificent animals and our human community. It is important to note that each of these responsibilities requires proper training, and we are committed to providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills. Horse Care involves assisting with the daily care of our horses, including feeding, grooming, and maintaining their their living spaces for their health and comfort, such as mucking and barn chores. We will ensure you are well-prepared and confident in handling and caring for the horses safely and effectively. There is also the opportunity for participating in educational programs designed to help you understand horse behavior and our training approach. No previous experience with horses is necessary. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels who are passionate about our mission. We ask that our volunteers demonstrate the utmost respect for equines and humans, that they be physically able to stand, walk and lift feed/hay in varying weather conditions, and be reliable and committed. Shifts are every day, 9-12 am and 2-5pm.
