Description
For many of our residents, a credit score is more than just a number -- it is a significant step to unlocking the door to a new apartment, being able to get a reliable vehicle or getting a fresh start across the board. We are looking for compassionate individuals with a background in finance, banking or credit counseling to help our residents understand the world of credit.
What You'll Do:
- Teach small groups or individuals the "Golden Rules" of maintaining a healthy credit score
- Provide actionable tips for building credit from scratch or recovering from past financial setbacks.
- Help residents understand how to read their own credit reports.
Bonus if you can also:
- Explain the practical differences between FICO and VantageScore (and why it matters for renters)
Qualifications:
- A clear and patient teaching style.
- Experience in finance, accounting or a related field (or tangible experience/passion for financial literacy)
- Ability to work with a diverse population without judgement.
