    Description

    Change A Child's Story - Become a CASA Advocate!

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) DeKalb County is looking for community members to become volunteer advocates for children involved in juvenile abuse or neglect court, most of whom are in foster care.

CASA Advocates are assigned to one case at a time and stay on that case until the child(ren) is placed in a safe, permanent home. CASA Advocates visit the child(ren) at least once a month and talk with others involved in the child's life to gather information for the court.

Volunteers must be 24 years old and do not need any specific background or education. It takes about 10 hours a month to fulfill the role of an Advocate.
