Visit Hospice Patients in Their Home! (Direct Care Volunteer)

You can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients by offering companionship and socialization to them in their home! Volunteers visit patients to read, share hobbies, give caregivers a much-needed break, or assist with simple projects. Along the way, we hope that you will also make a new friend!

There is no medical experience necessary as this position does not provide hands-on care - we are simply seeking kindness, reliability, and a desire to help! Volunteers typically serve about 2 hours per week and choose the geographic locations they are willing to support. Patients may be seen in nursing homes, assisted livings, or their private residences.

AseraCare provides thorough training and screening for all volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared to serve our hospice patients!
