Do you knit or crochet? Do you live along the Gulf Coast of MS? Have you run out of friends and family to share your blankets with? Why not help Vital Caring wrap our hospice patients in your love. These comfort shawls and blankets uplift the patient who receives them. Many patients have loving families surrounding them as they enter hospice due to a life-limiting illness, and they are cared for at home. But there are many patients who have no family, and few friends, and they are cared for by our hospice staff in healthcare facilities. These blankets not only bring joy to the patient but lets them know "someone cares about me."

Whether a patient in their own home or a patient in a facility, your comfort blanket will bring comfort to a patient in need.

If you would like to bring a little bit of sunshine and joy to a hospice patient's life, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

However, please note: Although opportunity is virtual, volunteers might think of whether they live in the geographic area of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, to drop off completed blankets for the Volunteer Coordinator to pick up, unless the volunteer wants to pay to mail a completed blanket, which could be costly.
