This volunteer opportunity allows you to bring dignity, comfort, and confidence to individuals at the end of life through something as personal and powerful as hair care.

A simple haircut or trim can restore a sense of normalcy, boost self-esteem, and provide a moment of connection during an incredibly vulnerable time. As a founding volunteer, your time and talent will leave a lasting impression on patients and families alike.

As a Hospice Hairdresser / Barber Volunteer, you may:

    • Provide haircuts, trims, basic styling, or grooming services to hospice patients in their homes or care settings.

    • Offer warmth, kindness, and conversation, creating a comforting and respectful experience.

    • Help patients feel dignified, seen, and cared for during their hospice journey.

    • Support Superior Hospice’s mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Individuals with past or current experience as a hairdresser, barber, cosmetologist, or similar grooming profession.

    • Volunteers who are compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with individuals facing serious illness.

    • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

    • Those looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community using a skill they already have.

    • Flexible, dependable individuals who understand the importance of sensitivity and professionalism in hospice care.
